Truth in Advertising: Pinterest Campaigns

Campaign 1: Bride-to-Be

Never have to buy a copy of Bride Magazine again.

Congratulations on your engagement! Now make a not so secret wedding board on Pinterest, so your fiancé and all of your bridesmaids will know exactly how you want everything. Steal ideas for creative centerpieces using mason jars, then have your maid of honor make each item by hand and pass everything off as your original designs.

You’re so going to have the perfect wedding.

Pinterest. Winning at life.

Campaign 2: Soccer Mom/Dad

Kindergarten for adults.

Where you can learn with pictures and don’t have to read more than a couple of words. Unlike book club or bible study, there is no long text to read on Pinterest, only pictures. And you can copy the ones you like. Unclog the sink without chemicals and learn a new recipe for a beer cheese dip that you can bring to the next tailgate or PTA meeting.

You’re so going to get the Parent of the Year Award.

                                                                                                     Pinterest. Winning at life.

Campaign 3: Working the Cubicle

Cat poster isn’t cutting it anymore.

Monday afternoons at work bring you down and the cat poster is no longer enough to help brighten your day. Wow your co-workers with your knowledge of life hacks. And when Facebook is blocked, learn to make a pumpkin spice latte instead of stalking your ex. Look like you’re concentrating really hard on spreadsheets while you scour Pinterest for Halloween costume ideas.

You're so going to get first place at the costume contest this year.
