Animated. Open on a schoolyard. Little kids running around laughing, yelling, swinging, jumping rope, etc. GIRL A stops playing a clapping game to scratch her head and then looks at her hand and screams when she sees a tiny bug crawling in her palm.

                     GIRL B:        (Pointing and making faces.) Ewwwww, you have cooties.

Zoom in on GIRL A’s hand, where a cootie is sitting and reading a book. Pan to her scalp and see another cootie start singing and dancing in her hair.

                     COOTIE:       I’m a cootie in your hair

                                          *chhh chhh chhh*

                                          And I’m looking everywhere

                                          *chhh chhh chhh*

                                          Pretty soon they’ll be a pair

                                          *chhh chhh chhh*

                                          Of cooties in your hair

                                          *chhh chhh chhh*

Another cootie joins in on the scalp dancing, and then two more “kid” cooties appear. All sing.

                                           And everybody knows

                                           You’ve got cooties in your hair

                                           And they’re spreading everywhere

The cooties have reproduced throughout the song and now there is a clan of cooties doing a Broadway dance number around GIRL A’s hair follicles.

Zooms out to see little girl screaming and running off playground.

                   GIRL A:            Mrs. Adamsssss!

Cut to scene of GIRL A at nurse’s station. The nurse is washing the girl’s hair with RID lice shampoo.

Zoom in on the cooties in dramatic, almost Shakespearian dying poses.

                    SFX:                Sounds of dying cooties with exaggerated screams of pain.

                    VO:                  RID Lice Shampoo. The cootie killer.
